Multilingual Learners

We work with school systems committed to improving outcomes for Multilingual Learners, students with disabilities and family engagement. We provide consulting, professional development and coaching services to districts and schools, tailored to their specific needs and in alignment with strategic improvement plans. We specialized in the following.

  • Evaluate.

    We support districts with the evaluation of Multilingual Learners Education programs, to support development of improvement and/or strategic plans. Services include,

    • Audits of the full structure of Multilingual Learners Education programs according to both federal and state guidelines

    • Assessment of the quality of instruction for multilingual learners, such as English Language Development (ELD) instruction and Sheltered English Immersion (SEI)

    • Recommendations to improve and/or maintain compliance with federal and state guidelines

  • Design.

    We assist districts in the development of standard operating procedures in alignment with state guidelines, to improve the quality of education and maximize outcomes for Multilingual Learners. Supports include,

    • Development and/or revisions of standard operating procedures.

    • Leadership coaching that integrates evidenced-based research in multilingual Learners Education

    • Assistance with program development for SEI programs and quality standards for ELD instruction

    • Design of professional development tailored to districts and schools’ specific needs

  • Train.

    We design and facilitate professional development for state education agencies, districts, and schools, to address the needs of leaders, ESL and SEI faculty, student support staff, and family engagement personnel. We specialize in,

    • ESL curriculum development aligned to WIDA 2020 standards and rigorous content-based ELD instruction
